Chasing Curiosity: From Lab Notebooks to Nature’s Canvas

Hi there! I’m Leigh, and I’ve always believed that curiosity is the best compass in life. As a kid, I doodled in the margins of my lab notebooks - and I never really stopped. My background in Microbiology and Electrical Engineering taught me to appreciate the details, while hiking Texas trails like Westcave Preserve and Purgatory Creek opened my eyes to the bigger picture.

Today, I bring that same sense of wonder into every piece of art I create. Whether it’s a watercolor inspired by limestone strata, a graphite sketch of neurons stretching across a web, or a close-up photograph capturing the hidden beauty of nature, each piece celebrates the patterns that make our world fascinating.

Versiform Studio is where all those curiosities come together - wood, ink, paint, leather, and more. It’s a place where I get to share my explorations with you. When I’m not sketching or soldering, you’ll find me scuba diving or trying (again) to keep paint off the dogs.

Thanks for being here and sharing in the art of many forms.
